1324 (Hawker Blackburn) band parading in Brough
Cadets from 1324 (Hawker Blackburn) Squadron proudly took part in Remembrance Sunday parades across multiple locations on Sunday 9th November, honouring those who gave their lives in service of the nation.
At the Brough war memorial, 1324 Squadron paraded alongside local Cubs, Scouts, Army Cadets, and representatives from both the Police and Ambulance services, uniting the community in remembrance. The squadron’s band gave an outstanding performance. Hundreds of local spectators gathered to pay their respects as the parade marched to the memorial for the traditional Act of Remembrance and two minutes’ silence.
Meanwhile, Cadet Warrant Officer Finnley Sprakes represented the squadron at the parade in Hull in his capacity as the Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet for the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Hull service drew thousands of local people, including Members of Parliament, local mayors, and civic dignitaries who came together to mark the occasion.
Both parades reflected the spirit of remembrance and community pride that runs deep within the local area. The cadets set a fantastic example.
