Frequently Asked Questions

We meet (or “parade”) every Monday and Thursday, 1900-2115hrs. We are normally open from 1845hrs.

We hold two intakes per year — the first is mid-September, as a new year’s worth of recruits become eligible to join as they start Year 8 at school. The second is at the beginning of February.

Dates change slightly every year, but contact us to join the waiting list and we’ll inform you of the exact dates immediately.

If the potential recruit isn’t quite old enough, we’ll keep engaging with you and be sure to keep you informed.

We pride ourselves on keeping costs accessible to all, so we still charge just £12 per month.

All new recruits are issued green coveralls.

We provide all your blue uniform, except for your black shoes, which will need purchasing externally (we will show you the style of shoe once you’ve joined us).

Further green uniform is not provided, but if you don’t wish to purchase your own, you can keep using the green coveralls.
